The SEMPERMAX Support Fund

Dear Friends:

Over the last five and a half years you have all provided a steadfast stream of support for Tim, our family and the entire wounded community.  For this we thank you with all our hearts!  It is the strength you have generated as a caring community that continues to bolster our commitment to advocating for and aiding wounded warriors.  With many initiatives underway and thriving we look now to provide support to those further into recovery who are wrestling with feelings of isolation and at times despair.  With retirement/separation from military service often come feelings of loss: loss of team and in some cases, loss of direction or purpose.   Support so prevalent in early stages of recovery dwindles, the will to reach out for help diminishes and full, comfortable integration into local communities can be challenging.  For these reasons, SEMPERMAX Support Fund has been established to continue the legacy of team healing and support, initiated with the Wounded Warrior Barracks at Camp Lejeune.

The mission of SEMPERMAX Support Fund is to enhance morale and welfare of service disabled veterans and their families through peer to peer, on-site visits by other service disabled veterans, trained to motivate and advocate on their behalf, so that they understand they have the continued support of a team.  ONE TEAM!  In doing so it is our hope that we can reduce isolation, disenfranchisement from society and suicide among veterans and their family members.

It is for this mission that we now humbly reach out to you and your extended offers of help. Individual and Corporate donations will support the travel costs and expenses associated with getting service disabled veterans to the homes or long-term care facilities of other service disabled veterans who are in need of advocacy and support. This type of peer to peer intervention and interaction offered by SEMPERMAX Support Fund has been shown to greatly improve morale, further recovery and promote ease of PTSD symptoms.  A foundation of commonality and shared experiences, along with added trust in someone who has walked their shoes

is fostered.  In addition, emotional support for the family is provided and networks for needed resources are established.

As you contemplate a donation to aid in this mission, we also ask that you make every effort to reach out to those wounded families in your community.  Most are willing to share their story.  All benefit in knowing that they are not alone!  Thank you for your consideration.

All tax deductible donations may be made payable to SEMPERMAX Support Fund and mailed to:
